Bob Dylan, the songwriter, composer, musician and poet,
published an album of Christmas songs before the end of the year.
At least four songs have been recorded for the album, including: "Must be
Santa," "Here Comes Santa Claus", "I'll be home for Christmas" and "O Little
Town of Bethlehem". This album will be recorded in the studio that owns Jackson
Browne in Santa Monica, California.
Thus Bob Dylan will join a list of Jewish artists who have recorded Christmas
albums such as Neil Diamond and Phil Spector. We can also mention to Irving
Berlin, also Jewish, who wrote the Christmas classic "White Christmas".
Although born Jewish, then seemed to turn to faith, the singer
went through a
stage of conversion to Christianity between 1979 and 1981, in which he wrote
some discs with gospel style including "Slow Train Coming" and "Saved."
The singer's latest album was "Together through life", released in April this
year and reaching the top spot on the U.S. charts. This is an album that was a
massive sale of 300,000 copies to date.
