The British musicians and groups seem to demonstrate their altruism and a desire for prominence possible through many donations and non-profit events. It is not uncommon to hear from charities news in the world of music and, although some may be out of kindness, others are driven by some publicity, improving trade picture, or even tax cuts. Some groups like Radiohead and Elbow gave a lesson in humanity.
Both bands have donated personal items for a charity auction. The event aims to help promote the project and Beats Music Mines. The campaign is promoted by Advivsory Mines Group, an institution that helps victims of landmines, bombs and weapons, survivors of certain armed conflicts worldwide.
