Phil Spector Defense appeals murder conviction

After the sentence issued for music producer Phil Spector in his trial on charges of murder of actress Lana Clarkson in 2003, his lawyers earlier this week appealed the decision arguing that in the case made several errors and omission of evidence during the retrial.

According to appeal before the Second Court of Appeals of California, Judge Larry Fidler unfairly allowed the testimony of five women whom Spector had allegedly threatened with a weapon years before the crime. Such testimony, according to lawyers of the accused, violated state law: "It requires the revocation of Spector's conviction, taking into account the basis of improper judicial testimony.

on tenterhooks waiting for a sentence between 19 years and life imprisonment for being carried in an act of rage and allegedly shot him in the mouth that Clarkson had 40 years in 2003.

The day of the incident, Spector met the actress at the club "House of Blues", later went to Spector's house, where the actress was shot and died.

The defense argued that the actress was not murdered but committed suicide by being under a state of depression caused by problems in his career.

It should be recalled that Spector was responsible for major productions such stars as Cher, Leonard Cohen, The Beatles and The Ronettes. He was the inventor of the musical production that is bringing music tracks, one above another, which was called "Wall of Sound".
