Warner Music against free streaming

warner-music

Executives at Warner Music has quarreled with the reproduction of their representatives free online via streaming media. Services like Spotify, Last.fm, Youtube We7 or are in the spotlight.

These services offer songs for the user in a legal and free, with fees paid to writers and publishers through an advertising agreement. According to the report, most users use free services before payment (those that eliminate the commercial advertisements inserted between tracks). For Warner executives, such a multimedia platform is not suitable for the music industry, it does not give sufficient income to enable cost-effective online promotion. Therefore, the Warner does not want to keep their agreements with these payment services. It is still unclear whether

to withdraw its catalog of those services or if you intend to remake new agreements in the future.

Studies are beginning to feel disillusioned and distrustful of media whose income is based on advertising. If the recorder with large catalogs, such as Warner, decided not to renew, many of these systems will cease to exist or will offer a catalog for the very poor surfer.
